Hello, I am glad that I have options to decide which school that I truly want to go.
However, decision is tough and makes me think about really a lot.
I would like to ask your opinions.

I got accepted in BCOM and UNECOM.
They are located in very different environments and I was very confused because it was hard to compare them.
I love both schools since the teachers and faculties were so supportive and nice.
The environments were very beautiful and interesting.
Since I really love warm weather and want to have an adventure in different cultures, I was very affected from BCOM. You know, Maine was really cold although the summer will be amazing with ocean.
I do know that however BCOM is a new school (I would like to hear the honest opinions from students in BCOM, as well), and I can't just decide the school, considering the environment.
I would like to hear about your opinions, especially who know about these schools. Any other comments will be also appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Private loans vs. Federal loans, 25+ years of experience and established rotation sites vs. a brand new school with no graduating class or match list. No matter how much you value the change in environment or weather but you just can't pick BCOM over UNECOM. If I was in your position, I would not even think twice about this decision, UNECOM.

UNECOM. No and, ifs, or buts.

I would've picked any other DO school over BCOM, with the exception of Liberty because it hasn't established itself and for profit status as well as lacking federal loans, but that's just me. If you have to stay in NM due to family, then go for BCOM.

Don't take a risk in something as important as medical school for your future when lots of $$$ is involved.

UNECOM for sure. I know BCOM is really interesting and seems like the offer a lot ( I was also accepted there) but it is a new program and there is going to be some difficulties and issues in the first class because it is the first class. Also when I interviewing at BCOM they made a lot of promises, with research, pipeline programs, language immersion classes, etc which is to much in my opinion for a new school. It is very ambitious which is great but it needs to first iron out the natural problems that will arise with new schools. I think in the future though BCOM will be a very strong school but for now go to the school that has proven itself over time.

Channeling my inner Goro: Do you want to freeze your ass off and eat lobster or sweat your ass off and eat enchiladas and pozole?

More seriously, I would probably pick UNECOM despite my preference for warm climates and how interesting I think working so close to the border would be. No federal loans is a big financial hit and being the first class ever is definitely a risk. Plus at UNECOM you'll get some rotations at Maine Med, which is an awesome hospital.
