would strike Burrell and CHSU off the list. Agree touro Nevada is prob your best bet overall. SOMA was a decent school when I was applying 10 years ago but I’ve heard they lost a bunch of their clinical rotation sites and so it went down. I’m not sure of the accuracy. I can’t comment on ARCOM

I would say depends on where you want to live and or increase opportunities for residency. ARCOM and Burrell are rural , CHSU has California as it’s main selling point , touro is Vegas , SOMA is truly dependent on what rotation site you get assignment to.

By CHSU being in California, would you say it would better over AZCOM for getting a residency in California? This is something I'm currently thinking about - Specificaly, deciding between AZCOM over CHSU. I've been told by medical students at CHSU that going there would increase my chance of matching into California much higher than if I go to AZCOM or an out of state DO school.

I know much of the pros and cons of each schools, and while I much prefer AZCOM itself, the likelihood of matching into California is a really strong pro for me that exceeds it, IF that's true. Just trying to find out lol.

I think AZCOM certainly has potential to match into Cali, not as much as CHSU but Chsu is just too new to take that chance (for me personally). Even though there has been great development for chsu, I would maybe still lean towards AZCOm just because it is well established and reputable.

Azcom is the better choice. Plenty of socal kids have gone to azcom and matched back in Cali. Also you might want a specific specialty that’s going to be hard to match in Cali period and you’ll want to choose the school that has more resources and sets you up to match somewhere. Azcom is the better choice for that

Thanks for the feedback. I've connected with students from both campuses and have heard alot of the pros and cons. Overall, AZCOM would provide an advantage for opportunities. I think CHSU would be great for those interested in practicing and matching in Central California. I'm originaly from Los Angeles (Southern Cali), so it might be best for myself to go to AZCOM. Also, I really liked the vibe and faculty at AZCOM.
