After reading all of the threads on a few 99 AOA ppl failing CS/CK & screwing up their applications, I have a question:

Is it possible to delay your score reports?

I have submitted to ERAS & have several interviews, but my Dean's letter doesn't come back for a month, & I am scheduled to get back CK & CS results within the month. The dean's office swears all scores received until then will go in the letter.

If it's not possible to dealy the results, is it possible to keep your school from obtaining your score reports until after the letter is sent?

Anyone know? (Given that I'm likely over-reacting)

Thanks

I am worried about this as well.

I got a 215 on Step 1 which is apparently just fine for anesthesia given the response I have had so far, and based on my USMLE world questions and the formula 2.3 (UW) + 84 = Step 2 CK score, I should get a 222... but what if I failed or got a really low score like a 200, what would I do in that case???

Also, how accurate is that formula given that USMLE says I am 50th percentile right now at 60% correct.... it seems like a 222 should be higher than 50th percentile... and that maybe I am not doing that well after all.

I could be wrong, but I think the mean of CK is actually about 7-8 points higher than step 1. Thus, a 222 could be close to the 50th %. That said, 50th % on USMLEWorld may yield > 50% on the test: I'm assuming some ppl don't study very much for CK at all, so USMLEWorld users are probably going to do better on the test as they are more likely to have studied extensively.

Also, if you didn't check the "update USMLE transcript automatically" box, then your score won't show up, provided your Dean's letter doesn't include it. Unfortunately, I should have paid more attention to the date on which our letters came out.

I would assume since they're "our scores" we would be able to delay their release, but I don't really know how to make that happen.
