So some students at my school really don't see me as dental material considering my lifestyle which kinda pisses me off lol.. I was just wondering if there are applicants that can relate to this and give me that extra confidence/ security needed lol

For example, I love house music I love raving and most weekends you can find me at any L.A. club, according to my peers they don't imagine dentists with such interests which I agree to disagree with.

Thank you.

As long as you're ethical and always provide the upmost best care, who cares what your hobbies are.

However, will it affect your relationships with other dentists? It might.

You can be who you want to be. Just make sure you're a good dentist and that the ADCOMS see that. I'd leave out the rave and clubbing part though during an interview, want to keep is professional after all. But if I were in your situation I'd say screw my peers I'll show them wrong.

Haha exactly!! It's a bit of a motivation when people doubt you but it gets irritating to some extent. I believe as long as you don't let your social life come in the way of your education/ career than it's ok to be who you are and still maintain a professional career.

Some dental students take life very serious and all they do STUDY, others can manage to also have fun during dental school ( that might be YOU) at the End all will get same degree and who enjoyed life the most? YOU:laugh: so if can manage to do well in classes and party then enjoy, you only young once!! And be ready because Dental schools is VERY competitive!!

It definitely acts as motivation. One of my friends told people that I didn't have the drive to become a dentist. This was one of my closest friends. Needless to say, that has given me an endless amount of drive. The last 2.5 years I have a 4.0 gpa (would be 4.12 if my school gave out A+'s). Use it as fuel. It's obviously not the only reason to have the drive, but it definitely helps haha.

But all in all, as long as you have the time management skills and intelligence to receive good grades, have fun man.
