I just checked my AMCAS "printout" online. I submitted 10/4 and was processed 11/13. Several schools still have not been "transmitted from AMCAS to school", which shows up on the list of schools at the end of the application. The schools that have not been transferred are:

Einstein
Rochester
MCP Hahneman
Temple
UF
Loyola (I never sent in my secondary)

I have already been rejected from two of these schools, but this has me worried. I haven't heard from the others since completion. Did anybody else have this problem on their list of schools? All of the other 13 schools I applied to were transmitted in November and October. What's the deal?

   Estoy confundida!

Yeah thats the way it was for me too. It still says Rush and Loyola weren't transmitted, but Ive gotten their secondaries and sent them in already. So obviously they got my AMCAS. Don't sweat it.

Hey Foxy,
I had this happen to me. I had received the secondary from the school and AMCAS still reported not sending my primary to them. I also remember a thread quite some time ago that others had mentioned this happening to them. If you are concered call, but I think it is the same glitch as before.
Good Luck,
Rob

You are sooo late in the game, so PLEASE CALL THOSE SCHOOLS. Really, don't let another day go by. You really need to find out if they received your application before they stop for this year. If they never get your application, DEMAND AMCAS refund the money spent to them. Sorry you are having trouble.

Amy Beth: I have received application complete notices from all of these schools in early november, I was just wondering why amcas has not fowarded them my offical application. Do you still think I should call the schools? The only ones I would have to call are UF, Temple and MCP HAhneman

Thanks for all of your help

You guys think that you all were screwed, here is my story.
I submitted my AMCAs on 8/15/01 and was not verified until 12/4/01. Turns out a total of 200 people applied during the week of the MCATs and all their applications were lost until late november (this is what the adcom at Chicago told me; AMCAS people said nothing about this situation).
I just hope I am not too late in this process.

I wouldn't worry too much if there is no date transmitted by some of your schools. This happened with me, but in fact, the school DID receive my AMCAS application, quite a while ago. If it bothers you a lot, though, perhaps you should give those schools a call in which your app is still pending, just to double-check. I'm sure they'll understand...they probably hate AMCAS as much as we do.

Dr. Foxy-

I also am not transmitted on a couple of schools, but when I interviewed at two of those schools, they had a verified AMCAS copy. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

I also continue to have this status for Emory on my application, but they have assured me that my application is complete. Just haven't interviewed me yet. Funny, it had not been sent to Vanderbilt until a month ago, but a week after it was transmitted I got the thin envelope. Good thing I never sent them my money. I had a feeling something like that would happen.

Dr. Foxy,
As others have already mentioned, don't worry about it. I had the same problem and I called amcas and they told me that some schools don't accept the app's electronically so amcas mails the app's to them. The only schools that get a transmission date are the schools that do accept electronic transmissions from amcas. For some weird reason they don't post the dates for the app's mailed (then again that would be asking too much from amcas  ).

But, if none/any of those schools have not sent you info as to whether or not your application is complete, then you better call them.

As I recall, AMCAS did this to everyone. When I called them to check on it for my app, they assured me my that preliminary info on my app had been transmitted to all schools, even the ones without dates. When I asked why those dates had been left off, they did not have an answer. This is the first time I have heard the electronic submission explanation. In any event, as the dates appeared pre-verification (was this the case for you, too?) and never changed, they could only have referred to transmittal of very preliminary info (like name, address and the fact you were applying to said school) and not the total, verified application. I heard from some of the schools without dates before before hearing from some of those with dates. As far as I know, there is no way to tell from the app when your verified app is transmsitted/sent without calling schools to check on receipt if you have not received an app complete notification.
