Hi there,

I did not project hours on AMCAS, which I realized was stupid of me. Should i send an email to schools to let them know? This is in an area that I really needed.

Projected hours don't mean much given how often plans fall through and/or the hours are grossly inflated. The decision to interview or accept you will not hinge on your projected activities (or lack thereof). Put another way, your application is evaluated at the time of submission.

Save the things that you actually did for the interview and update letter later on if need be. I would not bother the admissions office now with a pointless correction.

When a Secondary provides an appropriate prompt, that is a good place to let adcomms know about activity augmentations (and projections).

You can create a separate time section extending from application to matriculation.
