Did you also consider DO programs?

For those of you going pre-MD I was curious as to how many of you are going this route as a first choice, or as a safety?

I'm also applying DO, but not necessarily as a fall back, but more as equal footing. The ONLY thing I worry about (and I know this has been hashed out many times) is residency options. Everything else seems to be a non-issue.

I am applying to DO as I feel I have a better chance of getting accepted into their program. They appear to be more "non-traditional" friendly and like applicants who have a medical background. The bottom line for me is I want to be a doctor. Period.
