Did you get into the med school you "expected" to get into?

For example, if you have done a lot of research and want to be involved in it in the future, did you get accepted or were interviewed at mainly research-focused schools? Conversely, if you are very interested in pursuing primary care, did you mainly receive interviews/acceptances from schools that specialize in primary care?

I got accepted to my top few choices - which is what I was hoping.

What's the point of this thread? Some people get into their top choice, some don't. That's all there is to it...

Applied to about 15 schools. Got into my #1 choice, and was ultimately rejected by all other schools. I consider myself extremely lucky and fortunate. Classes start in a little more than a week!

I got into the school I least expected to get into and rejected from the school (McGill) I most expected to get into.
