Did you take Caculus 2?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I will have taken it for my major...Putting it off until senior spring 😀

I took it but only because it was required for my chemistry degree. I didn't apply to any schools that listed it as a requirement.

I took it because it would easily keep my GPA up.🙂

IF you dont have to take CALC 2, dont do it. Its very difficult. But calc 3 is very easy.

Calc 2 for me was harder than Orgo2+physics2+couple other easy math classes combined. To much work but it was required for my major.

it depends on the school/prof, if its easy then do it. Otherwise its not worth it. IMO only take it if its required by your major.

I dont think ANY SCHOOL req. calc 2 refer to adea book. That is just my assumption.

The only school I've seen is Harvard.

Took it for my major. It really wasn't that bad.

I also thought about taking a high level stat in place of calc 2 but decided to just suck it up and continue with calc. In the end, it helped to boost my sgpa.

Regarding dental schools, I think Harvard requires it and one other school...can't remember which..

Take calc 1 and stats. I took calc 2 and it was a nightmare. I studied really hard did really well until the end when my college (MSU) had a "departmental" final and I ended up with a 1.5. I have heard that stats is easier. I am not a math person I am ok with it, but it is not one of my strengths. It really hurt my average as it was a 4.0 credit course.

I took Calc II, it wasn't that bad.

🙂

One just has to put in some dedicated time. I did find it a bit harder than Calc I though.

I took the full year of calc so I could take the calc based physics. If you are in the math game right now think hard before stopping short of finishing calc. I thought it was kinda difficult but managed a good grade in it by doing all my HW and visiting math center. This is a good class to seek out a reasonable professor.

*note calc physics isnt required for dental school; however, it does fulfull the requirement. You can take alg/trig based instead.
