Didn't get in but had decent stats.

Can someone post of copy of the observation form that LOR writers will see online when it's their time to submit the letters please? This way we'll be able to make sure we do the necessary things on that checklist during our hours of observation and won't have any issues come up when worrying about whether or not the LOR was good or great.

I got interviews just never accepted. When I contacted the programs they said it was my GPA. They said any other year I would have been across but this year was really competitive

I'm guessing your last sentence tells the story because my stats were very comparable to your post-academic update stats and I was accepted at two schools, one of them FPU. But, that was 2 years ago so apparently this was a very competitive year. My condolences to you and the OP but please do not give up - get feedback from the schools on where your app was deficient, correct those deficiencies and try again next cycle.

Hey GMA2013,

If you mentioned it already in this thread my apologies, but how did the interviews go? Did you feel that you nailed those interviews? Do you have any more lined up?

I only had 2 interviews for PT school. Going into it I knew my GPA didn't stand out from the rest so I needed to make sure the schools took notice of something other than my GPA. Looking at GPA's as tie-breakers in choosing candidates with similar qualities to me, my goal was to leave the interview feeling that they remembered me and not the rest leaving my GPA as a nonfactor. I didn't showcase myself well enough in my first interview so they picked candidates with a higher GPA than mine. But I definitely showcased myself perfectly in the second interview and was chosen over candidates with a higher GPA. I knew that I nailed that interview.

I guess my point is this... by them saying it was your GPA, maybe you didn't do enough in your interviews to stand out? Maybe reflect on how your interviews went and build on that? I had 2 days in between interviews to reflect on how my first interview went. I think it helped with the second interview.

Anyhow, good luck to you. Don't give up.
