A 47 yo woman, with a recent cholecystectomy, came to your office asking you for diet advice?

1) high fat diet
2) low fiber low fat diet
3) low residue low fat diet
4) low carbohydrate diet

I'm guessing low fat diet, since if there's not as much bile to emulsify the fat for absorption, they might end up with steatorrhea.
Not sure what they mean by residue. Not sure why you'd recommend a low fiber diet.

Are you sure? I remember from step 1 that fat digestion is not affected with choley

Answer is definitely 3. You want to increase fiber intake. Fiber can bind bile acids and soluble fiber can soak up excess fluid in the gut. Postcholecystectomy diarrhea is common after surgery and it will increase with fatty/oily foods, so you want to avoid that.
