This may sound kind of newbish but would vet schools look at experience from local sa clinics and bigger emergency clinics differently? Is emergency experience looked upon more highly? I just wanted to know if it's worth the trouble because I have just been reject by the only emergency clinic in my city, due to lack of sa clinical experience (which I'm having a hard time finding). It sure does get depressing after so many rejections =/

I wouldn't worry too much about the difference in SA vs. Emergency. If you have one instead of the other, it will not make much of a difference. Vet schools do however look at the VARIETY of experience that you have. So it might be good to start out at a small animal clinic and then if the emergency clinic will take you on the you can make the transition.

Anoither option is to do some experience at a small animal clinic then go on to something completely different like aquatics, research, public health, or zoo if you can get that type of experience.
