Pictures are worth more than a thousand words. Sometimes it's hard to remember why you jump through hoops, toil over essays, pay $100 on average to get your application glanced at by some faceless admissions committee, and fly around the country, suit in hand, to converse with a person or persons you've never met. I find that visual reminders help, especially when I've just finished reading yet another op-ed about how American healthcare is going to hell in a proverbial handbasket-- they help me remember that there's something transcendent about this job, and that I've got some really cool moments to look forward to.
