Distraction: Pet Pics!
Started by DrBorisCA
These are my babies. The black kitty is Kali who is 4 years old. Her mommy was a purebred siamese who got knocked up by a black alley cat . . . she is neurotic and clingy with the characteristic siamese voice, but is the most affectionate and intelligent cat I have ever met . . . she even plays fetch! The snowshoe siamese is Kizmet who is 3 years old. I have to try and find another pic of her because she has the most stunning face with big blue crossed eyes. She chases faeries and other imaginary creatures, and her arch nemesis is her tail. She was abused as a kitten so is very shy but has started to really open up to people and likes to headbutt those she really likes.
Kali had kittens a year ago, we took in a stray male to recover after we got him fixed . . . ends up they have one shot left after the surgery, lol, and he was a good shot! We found them all (and their father) good homes. We gave them temporary names: ichi, ni, san, and chi (1,2,3 and 4 in Japanese). Here they are playing with the world.

I actually have many more (many turtles, a rabbit, a snake, a couple iguanas, a bearded dragon, many fish, a few little frogs, many birds, a few dogs, a few cats, etc.). They are mostly my Mom's though.
tacrum43 said:That's what I thought too, but I didn't know you could have one as a pet.
Yup, Monty's a Hedgehog. They're legal depending on what state you're in. Domesticated for the past 15 years or so. It's better to get one from a breeder since they breed to improve temperaments.

My baby (well, she's an old lady now!), Molly:
11-year old Boxer female - probably the oldest boxer ever to survive - all our others died before their seventh birthday 🙁

You need some sort of photo manipulation software. Not knowing what OS and age of your system, I can't really advise which program you might have. Most systems in the last 4 years or so ship with some sort of minimal editing software.
Look for:
Photoshop (This is what I use, but I doubt it just appeared on your system without you knowing it was there)
Paintshop Pro
iPhoto
If this was regular HTML you could set the height and width attributes of the image tag, (though that isn't good because it still loads the full image and then makes it smaller so it's no help to those with slow internet connections) but this is also not real HTML, and I don't think this image tags have height and width attributes
<----Lucky: rescued from the pound in 1994, Whitney's best friend for 13 years 🙂
I usually just use Flickr. Anything you upload will automatically be saved in several different sizes.DrA said:How do u make a pic smaller if its too large? I know, im computer-illiterate.

is that a ringneck parakeet? how do he and the cockatiel get a long with the budgie? there's a pic of my green cheek conure some pages back. we were thinking about getting him a budgie to keep him company but he might be too dominating.
so happy when i meet others who own birds. 👍

Jose! A blue crown conure. He loves peanuts, cheese, and popsicles and refuses to eat vegetables. Green is murder! He says hello, hi Jose, kissy kissy kissy, c'mere, step up, pretty bird, and numerous other brilliant things.

That is the cutest name ever for a bunny 🙂
It came off the box we brought him home in....it said "Buttermilk Biscuits" and since I have a friend we call Biscuit (he looks like Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit) Buttermilk was suggested....daisy958 said:That is the cutest name ever for a bunny 🙂

No dog's as smart as my dog
His name is George
His name is George
Newest addition - somewhere between German shepard, Black Lab, and Golden retriever... Smart little bugger, he was potty trained in 3 days, learned sit in 1 and shake in 3. He also knows to hide (very well I might add) when he's in trouble.
