White girl with brown hair? Are you the girl I always sit next to?? 😉😀

Just listened to some Behaivoral Medicine lectures. What better way to spend your Friday night then learn about child abuse. I can't wait till Wed when this class is done, although I'll probably have to start actually going to class

Jbone, I'd do ya...wait...that isn't good...

We should have a naked SDN party, except there are mainly guys in this group sooo...hmmm....tell me how it goes....

See you in the lab tomorrow cuz I love going to school on a sunday

So I may have been a bit premature (like my ejaculations - another story) about my nat'l championship prediction. Notre Dame SUCKED yesterday!

Haha....I can't say I called it, but I get a little bit of pride knowing that I warned ya.

It was definitely a rough game for Notre Dame, but I wouldn't be worried, since they'll have a top 3 recruiting class for the next umpteen years.

Recruiting classes mean something, but they don't mean that much if you don't have a coaching staff. I like Weiss and his OFFENSE, but I can't see them doing anything until they hire a better defensive mind. Don't forget, Miami had a top 5 recruiting class too the past few years and look how that is turning out. Oh, and Chris Leak was the next Peyton Manning too.

This is definitely true. I'd never say that ND will win a championship year after year, but by having such a ridiculous recruiting class, they certainly put themselves in the running.

It's sort of like Duke with basketball. Year after year they have one of the top recruiting classes, but they definitely don't win a national title on a regular basis. But then again, Bill Self and Kansas do the same thing, and look what a mess he's made of that program - great recruiting, sh1t coaching.

Oh well, you're definitely right, but recruiting (especially elite recruiting) certainly doesn't hurt. I'm just jealous, I guess.

Anyone want to go grab a drink during lunch tomorrow to celebrate being finished with Behavioral? I'm sure there's a watering hole somewhere near campus that we could go to... I'll buy the first round- As long as I pass, I don't think I'll need more than one!

Good luck studying tonight ladies and gents...

VOTE FOR SPJUT

good luck everyone

REMEMBER (THE ONLY THING THAT WILL KEEP YOU MOTIVATED TO STUDY): NO MORE BEHAVIORAL MED AFTER TOMMORROW 😀!!!!!!!!!

Time to review the hell out of this class...

You know.... I was really happy knowing that behavioral medicine was ending but I recently realized that just means we're going to get a LOT more biochem and anatomy now. 😱

If I get one more professionalism annoucement, I am transfering.

You know you need to stop changing in front of the Dean and new interviewees. I know all about you and your shananigans.

I think I may just sleep in the anatomy lab, anyone wanna join?

I already dream about anatomy. Isn't that enough?

No doubt. Couldn't even sleep last night because my mind kept going through the muscles. Sort of like my brain is running a defrag and it just happens to keep me awake all night. 😴 😴

Good luck tomorrow or err today...Remember to cheat of soundman 😀 . On a side note, didn't some second years say, a while back, that we wouldn't have this thread going past the first biochem test. Ha, EAT IT!:meanie:

Thought the lab practical was a lot better than it could have been.

The written... let's just put it this way: Some of the questions made me want to punch babies! My apologies if that offends any parents in here...

Thank God it's the weekend...

LOL!

I love you DJ. Have a great weekend. I'll be hitting biochem and maybe the sheets for a change.

Yeah, I wonder if it is possible to press charges on a test for molesting you? I want the scores to be posted, now!

I thought both were difficult. But DJ is the bomb so he pwns all. It was just that is was so freaking long, and I had to pee.

It was def. the "welcome to medical school, drop your pants, spread your cheaks and bend over," test.

I freakin hate genetics. 😡

Is anyone lost like I am? 😕
Is anyone as SCARED as I am for this test on Thursday?
:scared: :scared: 😕

I'm scared very much. I shouldn't of let myself get this far behind. Looks like tomorrow is catch up time.

Hey, I am going bald at 23, now there is a reason to hate genetics. If it wasn't for my boyish good looks and charms I'd be screwed.

Wow, what a huge waste of time that review was. I wouldn't be bitching, if it wasn't for the fact that it was REQUIRED, which is absolutely ridiculous. What other review session is required??

Not to mention that it was scheduled for today (day before Biochem) of all days.

Anyways, back to studying.

TELL ME ABOUT IT! How about that last 20 minutes... my GOD it felt like it would drag on all night! I really felt like shoving a certain "fellow" out of the way and wrapping things up myself in, oh, 20 seconds instead of confusing everyone for 20 minutes.

*Shameless Plug* Just by an OMM Lab Manual from any UAAO member for the LOW LOW price of $10. That's right, only $10 and you're guaranteed to ace all 1st year OMM practicals.

See everyone in the morning-

Do youhear that echo? No?
Try talking to my other end. Ouch.
Test was a beautiful thing. I can't feel my face.😱

The whole disappointing thing about that review session, is not necessarily when it was (although today would of been much better) but the fact that when fellows don't know things it makes the whole department look bad. And that is actually very unfortunate. If you can't teach it or don't know it, for heaven's sake they shouldn't be teaching us. One mistake fine, but the repetitiveness of them is what was disturbing. I love wooley, but her team let her down imho.👎 👎

What kind of thing was bad about the OMM review? What couldn't the fellows answer? Just curious b/c that hasn't really happened very often for our class.

You will soon find out, if you haven't already, that EVERYTHING to do w/ OMM is absolutely REQUIRED. There is no way around it. Sorry.

No biggie. Just cranky because of a hard biochem test.
All better now.

Pay no attention to jbone. Just like knowing the difference between external and internal rotation. Knowing passive vs active ROM. It's not that they couldn't answer, it's that they couldn't explain it. And when they tried they got it wrong and mixed up. Perhaps a better method of review could of been firing off questions to us, so it could actually be a "review" for us. Like "what am I doing here, is this passive or active range of motion" Class answers, and the fellow doesn't look bad and limits their inability to actually describe what's going on accurately.

I have no problem with it being required, but I think even Dr. Wooley was getting pissed as well. Anyways todays OMM lecture was VERY well done by one of the other fellows.

I still don't understand why a review session in ANY class is ever required?

Playing FLAG football: FREE

Being a defensive linemen at 180 LBS: FREE

Getting launched through the air by some ape who forgot about the FLAG aspect and then having to take the biochemistry test with a minor concussion but still making it bend over, drop trow and take it like a man: PRICELESS.

Sorry to intrude 🙂

I think it's too bad you guys are having a less than ideal experience with OMM class. It seems like they're letting the fellows do a lot more now. Anybody care to remind me who the current fellows are? You can PM me if you want.

The UAAO book is very good. For boards, the green Savarese book is great, because there will be some terminology on the COMLEX that is variable, and may not be what you're used to getting.

Good luck with everything!

I agree about the OMM review. In general, I thought it was a good idea but agree with SOUNDMAN that it definitely should have had a different format. The other thing was obviously the timing. For me, review sessions do nothing unless I have my stuff down pretty well. On Wednesday, my main concern was the biochem test and I'm sure this was the same for most other people. Basically, the review session ended up being a waste because I didn't have my stuff down at that time. Ideally it would have been Friday after anatomy, but who knows what the schedule for everyone else looks like.

P.S. I second SOUNDMAN's idea that Dr. Woolley was getting somewhat annoyed. She seems to be the one who is most comfortable with the information that we have to know for class. For the most part, I feel that the fellows have been pretty good, except for one. That fellow seems nice, but I can't honestly say that she has been a good lecturer. Anyways, hope the biochem went well for everyone!

An excellent synopsis of my feelings as well, but put much better than I could of. Now to go OMM my wife....
