It's so sad I called the admissions of osteopathic medicine yesterday and I told them I was interviewed last 09/09. The lady told me that decisions will be delayed due to admission committee being on leave. She told me that the earliest I can hear from them is late next week. I have been checking my email obsessively since last Friday and this news was devastating because I can't stand waiting for one more week.

I pushd LECOM back to December because it was too expensive to be on the road for so long. I'm heading over to UVM on Monday for another interview. You were at DMU last Monday?

NooooooooOOOoooo!! that means any decisions for interviews after 9/9 might be delayed, too. terrible news :meanie:

I agree terrible news indeed. Today I got an interview invite from Western Pomona so at least there's some good news to compensate for the bad one.
 
it does suck to have to wait longer but it was nice that they let us know. i am no stranger to the waiting game and this school has been very on top of things and it's nice to have an update at least.
and at least we haven't been rejected - that news would be even more terrible!!

Which campus did you apply to? Oregon or Pomona? or maybe both?

I only applied to Pomona campus and my app was complete on 08/26..how about youuuu?

I applied to both. I was complete in 07/27.... Sigh...
 
third week and no news from ANYWHERE! Oh medschool gods please let this week be the one!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
 
Got an e-mail from Des Moines today....it was just an invite to re-explore the campus on November 10th. Needless to say, when I saw it, my heart skipped like 4 beats. This was NOT very nice of them. Grrr, just let me in already!!! 😛

Was the email for a 'second look' type event?
 
Hey guys, I know you all pretty much went over all of the interview stuff, but mine is in a couple of days and I am getting nervous.

I would really like to prepare myself for the process, specifically regarding what questions they may ask.

Is it all just about your application stuff and personal statement?

Anything I should get ready for or be wary of?

This is my first interview at my top choice school and I am reeeaally freaking out!

ANY examples of questions would help tramendously.

wait so the adcom is back this week right? hoping to hear back for an interview invite, or am I just dreaming!
 
There were a couple of questions in my interview that I wasn't expecting/prepared for...like, "from what you've seen TODAY, what is the part you like best and the part you like least about DMU-COM?" Or, "What are your strengths and weaknesses in your application?" Other than those two, the other questions were pretty straight forward. Just be yourself!! (I know everyone says that, but it's soo true!)

I'm with you Wolverine. I got my email saying that they would make a decision on an interview within 30 days on September 1st, and it is now September 28th... Getting to be about that time 😀

I can't find such a forum! All I know of is the interview invite/experience thread, but all that has is just where and how many people got accepted/rejected, etc...

It's not actually a forum.

Look at the blue bar at the very top of the page. It's in the middle between bookstore and blogs.

Sorry to hear that.

It seems like DMU is really waitlisting a lot of people this year. It's pretty scary for those of us waiting to hear back.
 
What??! I was interviewed on the 9th and I haven't heard anything yet. congrats by the way. Maybe tomorrow I will
 
Just got the email from DMU, interviewed on the 17th, loved the school so I'm pretty stoked right now.
 
ACCEPTED!!!! Interviewed on 9/10...loved the school...absolutely thrilled.

Just got back from my CCOM interview and got the DMU e-mail as well. Accepted!! Woohoo!! :soexcited: That was way sooner than expected. I only interviewed about a week ago 9/20.

Just got accepted!! I'm so happy!!!!! Interviewed on 09/09 and it feels like I've been waiting forever. Have an interview tomorrow in LECOM Erie and I just want to celebrate. I'm going to be a doctor!! I absolute love DMU:luck::soexcited:

I know the feeling! It felt like forever.

I got accepted too!!! 🙂

Got the email around 5pm this afternoon. Stats are 30/3.83 OOS, research, lots of work experience, but lack of patient interaction. Congrats to everyone else who got in, and I'm rooting for those who are waitlisted. Hang in there and good luck.
 
Interviewed 9/17 and also got the email today...ACCEPTED!! 🙂 Is anyone submitting their deposits yet?
