Just got a e-mail from the admission director, and said "they are unable to offer me an opportunity tointerview". Very sad!!! Hope I can get a few from other D.O school. But I have the lower MCAT (22M/3.3GPA). How do your guys think? Can I get only "ONE" acceptance from other schools? Thanks!
 
Cancelled all other interviews and paid my deposit!!

Very doubtful, sorry. Your mcat and gpa are both decently below average.
 
Just interviewed today! Really laid back and casual interview. I really hope I get an acceptance to this school as the facilities and atmosphere have really impressed me...this is my #1 choice!!!
 
I think it's sad that I'm already counting the days for the next 3 weeks :-(

Interviewed 10/17. OOS. 28MCAT, 3.5/3.6 gpa

Man, thought I killed the interview (and I went to 8 interviews prior to this school, thought this one went the best)
 
I interviewed the 24th of October and just got the acceptance email!! Woot Woot! 😀 I loved this school and I am super pumped!
 
WOW!! Just got accepted!!!!! Shocked they let me know this quickly (interviewed on 10/28).

Retake your mcat man. It's bringing you down way too much, and your GPA isn't compensating that well. A 3.3 is sufficient if you have an average/above average MCAT.
 
Wait listed...probably. wont see you guys since they hardly move the wait listhave not received any acceptances. Its a shame. This was my true school of choice.

I got a DMU car sticker in the mail.

Do prices in the bookstore go down closer to the start of school? I don't know why... but I'm dying to get my stethescope, lol.

Does anyone have a list of the medical appliances we need to purchase for first year? The tuition break down shows that all medical appliances needed are bought in the first year (cost totaling over $1000, but worth it of course). 👍

Don't worry about equipment before you get to school. We ordered our stuff last month and we won't get into until January when we need it for physical diagnosis.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted. I'm still buzzing from excitement especially because this was my first acceptance. I might just cancel all my other interview scheduled..

One thing that really distinguishes this school (other than the obvious stuff) is the faculty members and students. Everyone was super nice and helpful!

Just got an interview invite as well! I will be scheduling my interview ASAP 🙂

My interview date is January 05, 2012. No earlier date was available

I've never made one but I can try to make one tonight. Should I just call it "DMU Class of 2016" ?

---EDIT: I just tried making a group, and apparently I need a member to add to it to get it started I think. Anyone who is going to DMU who has a facebook want to add me? PM me your name or profile and I'll add you, then I'll make the group.

Hey guys,

I made a Facebook group and page for the class of 2016. I decided to delete the page after making it... since there's no point in making both a page and a group (I never understood the logic behind it... lol).

Anyway, just look up DMU class of 2016 and ask to join and I'll add you. If you wanna be an admin, let me know as well!

Well the page can be liked, but it's going to be deleted in a week by Facebook (it says that Facebook takes 7-14 days to delete pages), so it won't matter.

For the group, I already added you as an admin. So you should already be in it 🙂
 
I am thinking about doing the master's of anatomy program as well as DO. If you asked questions during the interview about duel degree they will tell you information otherwise I think there is a sheet in the portfolio you get when you arrive.

I did a lot of research on DO/MSA since I was really considering doing it as well. I decided not to do it though.

I think I posted some of my findings in another thread (or maybe this one), but I can share it again if you want.

I interviewed here on Friday it was a pretty good school. I really liked the surgical skills aspect.

I was on the waitlist last year. I believe the movement changes but I wouldn't expect more than 10 seats of movement. DMU is known to not have much if any movement.
