Got called in today to put a taylor spatial frame on a pilon fracture today. That makes two taylor spatial frames, a delta frame, and two Ilizarov's since I've been here. I'd say that's some pretty solid training.

Aren't Taylor Spatial Frames great? Think of all of the potential deformities you can fix with it. If you go to a residency program that does not do much Taylor Spatial Frames, I highly recommend the ACFAS Taylor Spatial Frame course or one of the Smith & Nephew Taylor Spatial Frame courses for Podiatric Surgeons or Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Also, Jon did you here the Dr. Roy Lidtke is a new researcher on staff at DMU. He is working part time and using the facilities to conduct his research. Most of his salary is paid by the grants he receives for his projects.

One last thing, Jon do you ever use your ophthalmoscope /otoscope? I was thinking about selling it to a 1st year but wanted to know if we actually needed it.

The only problem I see with DMU implementing the spatial frame is that you have to have something to put it on! I don't think onychomycosis is an indication But seriously, that would be pretty cool.

Ya, I got rid of my ophthalmoscope after my first year. You won't need it. That is good news about Dr. Lidtke. DMU's one weakness is that it doesn't have any big names. Of course, that won't really matter once you're out in your 4th year kicking butt.

I feel kind of cheap and dirty like we were used for our insider information on how to get in and what to expect and then once they get here they just bail out on us. Man they do think they are too cool for us.

We want more than just that, we need the nitty gritty of your classes and this thread is for trash talking so step up the game. Look at pages 1-6 for some good trash talking. Pretty sure that Feelgood and Iliza are some of the biggest trash talkers. Gusty stays out of the gutter because he doesn't like to get dirty.

Thank you. And thanks for the pic. I think that every school must have there own shield/logo. Which I think is great but I think it would be nice to have on national and one regional/local logo. So I'm still hoping to get a hold of the chapters to see if anyone shares the interest.

I was striving for fourth row status with my friends and we did good the first week but then the other people....the ones with all those kids .....started coming to class at who knows when and taking it over and everyone has been switching ever since. I guess you just have to be really dedicated to get those prime seats and come to class more than 30 minutes early

That's OK. As a first year, we had class in the MEC in these really uncomfortable desks. Anyway, I probably sat in about row 30.

Personally and for the 09ers that post on here we sat literally in the last three rows. Those are by far the best seats and you will soon learn that when you show up late to lectures or if you are not a fan of a lecturer you can leave easily. But, I am a bad student that way

Although I am an advocate of the right side in lecture hall 3, I have to admit that I defected once or twice to Feelgood's side of the room during exams. I found out later that my worst test scores came from when I sat on Feelgood's side.
