DMU self-proclaimed super-geniuses of the third row

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I live in the same complex as Jonwill and we love it. A lot of the first years this year ended up in Maple Grove. I have heard good things about Washington Heights and Colonial Village as well. If you have any specific questions feel free to pm me or something.

I too have been hearing the crickets in this forum and am glad that atleast someone else is around! So what's new Jonwill?

Won the NFC North, best record in the NFC (and NFL for that matter), number 1 seed, 7 pro-bowlers, NO LUCK NEEDED!

Sorry but the Chargers had the best record 14-2; Bears 14-3.

If they are not lucky then explain the Cardinal game.😀

You mean the Chargers that are no longer in the playoffs (making them 14-3)? Hey, any team that can turn the ball over 6 times and still win is phenominal!

Hey, where are you doing your core? What programs have you lined up?

All I have to say is that great teams find ways to win and that is exactly what the Bears did against Arizona. Doesn't matter how the game was won or by how many points the game was won as long as you come away with the W. GO BEARS!!!!

All of these are mute points because the winner of the NFC will lose to the AFC in the Superbowl, and hopefully it is the Saints who move on and lose to the COLTS!!! The Bears wouldn't be able to beat any of the four AFC teams that played yesterday. No offense to you bears fans. They are just not impressive. They barely beat the seahawks!!!

The COLTS??? Ya, those 5 field goals were most impressive  Luckily, they were playing a team with no offense so it was enough. In my opinion, none of the AFC teams looked that spectacular. Only the best teams make the playoffs, and in the end, they are all pretty evenly matched. You've seen it in every game.

On the other hand, if a 13-3 record and number 1 seed aren't impressive, than I'm not sure what is. Critics have spent all season picking the Bears apart. And yet, they just keep winning!

I almost cried when the COLTS won. I am a RAVENS fan for sure. Even though I was only 4 when the COLTS snuck out of town from Baltimore to Indianapolis I can see the effect it had on my family. The entire city of Baltimore never got over losing that team. My family still talks bitterly about it.

Even though we have a superbowl winning team, it would have been sweet to beat the COLTs.

jonwill's correct. I don't think there was one team that was totally impressive this past weekend.

hey i'll take 5 field goals against the best defense in the league! As far as the ravens having no offense, they were supposed to run all over the colts defense. The bears are going to have a tough time beating a good offensive team because of injuries on defense, and i'm still not sold on Grossman. GO COLTS!!

Don't get me wrong, my old man always told me "It is usually better to be lucky than good."

As for programs,

June - Swedish
July - PSL
August - Kentucky
September - UPMC-SS

I have spoke to both DMC and Regions and I will be visiting both for extended weekends. I didn't hear back from DMC until after my deadline for UPMC-SS so I had to take the safe bet. So I told them that I was very interested in the program and would like to visit even though I could not extern there. I'm hoping I can show off my skills over a 3 or 4 day weekend.

I'm coring at Broadlawn's so I'll just tell Dr. Mandracchia that I am going to be gone a few extra days. I'm going to try to do the same w/ Regions and maybe Forest Park.

Hey feelgood,
Have you heard much about Forest Park?

You should be fine with ducking out a few times from the lawns. In case you haven't noticed, they are pretty chilled with the 4th years.

Hey feelgood,
Have you heard much about Forest Park?

I have heard mixed reviews. They seem to be similar to the Lawns where they have been stuck in a reshuffle. It seems as if the program is steadily improving and everyone the externed there has enjoyed it.

The Colts are going to kill the Bears.

Just like the Seahawks were going to kill the Bears, and then the Saints were going to kill the Bears? These "experts" suck! The Colts are a good team but they really don't have a defense that can stop the Bears offense. And as for the Bears D stopping the Colts, well, that won't be much of a problem. After all, weren't the "mighty Saints" supposed to have the best offense in the NFL? If the Bears play smart football like they did today (1 penalty and no turnovers), they'll win.

Right on👍

The Colts offense better run fast, because the Bears defense will crush them.

GO BEARS👍 👍 👍

This is my favorite line. It makes it sound like the Bears have a high powered offense (which they did for the first 4 weeks of the season).

Either way I'm looking forward to the game. The Bears are filly back and Peyton finally beat the Pats.

I wouldn't call it high powered as much as it is a versatile offense. They have so much they can throw at you. Poor Payton. You know if the Colts do lose, all these *****s are still going to talk about how he can't win the big games (even though he just won one).

As for my "expert prediction", the team that plays better and has fewer mistakes will win (prophetic, isn't it)!

My prediction is the team that scores the most points and gives up the least will win.

the team that loses the game won't win. sad I know. I like both teams but think it goes to the Colts. Someone said something about the Bears offense...even in Da Bears of old-fridge, payton and mcmahon didn't have a top QB. Mcmahon was asked to just not make mistakes like Gross, but the difference is the Colts are hot on D and with the ends running at him, Grossman will make several turnovers. this all from a guy that picked the Hogs to win the SEC 😱 . put your money on Indy +17.

Don't pick on the Seahawks, they were basically asking people off the street to come play in their secondary, hmm, maybe there should have been tryouts open to the public, interesting, this sounds familiar, maybe there should be a movie about a regular guy that goes and trys out for a pro football team and makes it!!! What a concept. Seriously, leave the Hawks alone, we'll be good again next year.

Wow, when did John Madden hijack Feelgoods handle?

On a different note, I think we gotta help Haffadoc find his password, he keeps telling me he's got lots of input for SDN, haha.

Did we watch the same games on Sunday? The Colts "hot D" gave up 34 points! You must have meant the Bears D which held the top offense in the NFL to 14 points. With the Bears having the best offensive line in the NFL, don't look for the Colts defensive line too do much. And with the mismatch in the lines, it is going to be pretty difficult for Indy to stop the run. Turnovers? The Bears have the most takeaways in the league so I'd say that it is Indy, not Chicago, that should be concerned about that.

I don't feel too bad for the Seahawks. There are some pretty good players out there on the streets. The Bears field goal kicker was working construction last year at this time!

Somebody please tell me they've seen it! On channel 5, I just saw a Broadlawns commercial for the Foot and Ankle Clinic. It had Dr. Mandracchia, Dr. Mandi, and Dr. Toney in it.

I have seen the commercial. Hey Feelgood, what were you doing up so early?

lost to=49ers, cardinals(aren't they moving to the CFL?😉 ), dolphins(of the carib. med school league), Patriots and packers. they've slowed down on the hot botton as expressed by comparing the seahawk wins-game 1 score 37-6, game 2 two wks ago 27-24 Ot on a fg. granted the colts had their slow end to the season but I think that actually helped because they got the losing out of there system. NO is a dome team, they played in snow, they would have lost in the dome as well but not like that. the only way the bears D stops Indy is if they show up with a bunch of illegal guns and 500 rounds of ammo-and this is a serious posibility. most of the players on the line of friends with the cincy fab 9.

What? They beat the 49ers (41-0 at halftime) and the Cardinals. So they lost a few games they shouldn't have lost (including a pointless last game in which starters barely played). The Bears have slowed down? They've won 6 of their last 7 games. Point differentials are irrelevant. When you're playing against the best, everyone brings their A game. The Colts, however, lost 4 of their last 6 regular season games, including one to the Houston Texans! And yes, NO is a dome team that has won all season outdoors. But the real problem that they are going to have against Chicago is that they are a one dimensional offense. Another huge problem is that neither of Indy's lines match up well against Chicago. Look for the running game to exploit that line.

Come on, credit where credit is due. The Bears are obviously one of the best teams in the league which would be why they are in the superbowl.

It will all be settled in a week and a half. I wouldn't bet on Indy and definitely not on a 17 point spread!!! You shouldn't be betting anyway

I have seen the commercial. Hey Feelgood, what were you doing up so early?

I am currently living at Broadlawn's. My day starts at 4:30. I get to the Lawns about 5:30 to make sure I have read the required subject and I write on the board. We round at 6:00 b/c we have had 3 to 4 in patients this whole rotation (and they are all being discharged Friday which of course is the end of my rotation). Clinic or surgery at 8 until 5:30 sometimes 6. And then we might get called to the ED for a case or I've had a few late calls to the OR. We have been putting in about 50 to 60 hours per week; not including research at home and working on our portfolio and presentation.

How has the daily patient load been in clinic?

I has recently lighten up. When we first got back I would guess it was about 60 a day. But remember that is with only Toney and the other attendings popping in and out all day. It can get crazy.

The OR has been booked. We have had 7 case days.

I said put YOUR money on indy. even if I had a pot to pee in I'd still not put it on a game. I'd invest in the Jonwill podiatric prectice. I think I'll have a huge return.
I just have a brother that still watches the Wlater Payton work video-seriously-so I have to be able to rant somewhere. The bears have a solid D-the line is taking a hit, but unless Indy gets Adai(sp.?) loose Urlacher is to fast for the T.E. of indy to exploit the middle. still going with 17 points. You have to be bold, yet meek. Grossgamo or Ferraman I mean Ferragamo and Grossman😱 may easily be in the bottom Super Bowl QB talk together soon. Grossman has a great touch but he is very predictable-partly due to a reliance on the run-it compromises 3 down field position and unlike manning he just doesn't have a sure fire Hall of Famer to bail him out of 3-13. I also have the Razorback bias to anything coming from Florida.
