Schedule wish I would say any program that tries to adhere to 80 hours a week is good. Call every 4th night is probably one of the best schedules, 3 is kind of an ass kicker from what I hear. I look at location, how many people have gone on to do a fellowship and what fellowship they did, how many "big names" are associated with the program, do they let you moonlight, and is there an opportunity in that community after you finish to have a successful private practice or join up with one that is already established. When you go to interview talk to the residents, the places where the residents are happy you can't go wrong with!
Oh and if there are a lot of hot residents, docs, nurses, and etc, but I am assuming you had that at the top of your list😉
