You didn't get my class memo? I thought everybody knew......and I'll save some smegma for you.....let it age a few days.

You know how I like it......on some crackers with a nice white wine to go with it....I'm thinking a '69 Pinot Grigio.

Be careful though...my wife is fascinated by snuffies.

I discharge my last NICU patient today. They won't give me any more babies since all of mine got better and went home.

I'm on "freewheel" until Friday...ugh. I need work.

Anyone have a sick baby?

If I had foreskin, I'm 100% sure it would have been caught in something I was "exploring" thrhoughout my life: the couch, pillows, cremaster, frenchie, dartos, twin sisters, some random college girl/boy in iowa city this weekend. I'm the guy who would get a chlamydial super infection b/c it would sit in the covered area for months.

Excuse me while I puke. Oh yeah, lucky enough to do two breast reductions today: those are pretty damn gross as well.

Just what sort of a rotation are you foreskin snipping breast reducers on anyway? I'd just as soon avoid that. For example, by rotating at a clinic in Siberia. Whose patient census consists of goatherds with CJ's.

I cut the foreskin on NICU.

Plastic surgery. Some days it rocks...others it drags on. Today we had clinic, and it seemed to be a beauty pagent day as nearly every patient was pretty damn good looking. even the 4 month pregant spanish translator was good looking: life does not make sense. we had a 50 year old nurse come in 6 months after implants, and she is balls in frenchie's face hot. Thank god it's over b/c i almost turned back to heterosexual.

Dartos: I am going into IM. I really like nephro, cardio, and ID but am not sure if I want to specialize or am competitive enough to anyway. Are you going to stick around in IN for residency?

I can't wait to sleep in this weekend. I hope it keeps raining because I love sleeping in when you can hear the drops. mmmmmmm....and cookies...

WOOKIE COOKIES

I'm off to virginia now....for Pediatrics Ward.

Rotating at every program in the Navy is getting pretty incestuous. Everyone knows everyone at every other program. I met a pediatric 3rd year resident who is applying for the fellowhsip in neonatology today. He's training at Portsmouth right now.

He's doing PICU this coming month, so I'm going to hook up with him for some call. Swizzle.

I also ran into a couple of people from when I was enlisted...both nurses. 😍

Guys I have one more week of ER then I'm on two weeks of radi-holiday and I can't wait. I also am making cookies tonight but I have to get my ass up at 7 tomorrow for work so my life blows. I hope that D-Maks smegma is still in season.

So, I just had the most incredibly laid back interview today. Cool fellow interviewees too. I wish it will be like this for all the other ones 😍

When a news article shocks me, something is wrong. I don't mean to bash on the south, but this did happen and totally makes sense of many things. I cannot begin to fathom how this would count as a retaliation.

man, dontcha just hate it when they wake up in the middle like that? you gotta put more sleeping pills in mom's booze stash under the sink in the trailer (next to the rat traps fer catchin' dinner), otherwise she might remember what happened.

A Bunch to go. Peoria rocked....great program. I have 5 interviews in the next 10 days........WOOOOOOOOO!

And I like your mugshot on that article Astro.......I could see how it shocks you.........BURN!

You and I are nemesisi now.......bitter nemesisi

Burn in hell..........bitter nemememeisisi

I'm wearing steel underwear around you......and teaching my penis kung fu.....bastard.👎 👎 👎

I can just picture it, Dmaks infamously large uncut weiner with dark glasses on, "I know. kung. Fu." keanuea reeves style.

I know this is a heinous crime but the detective didn't have to say: "It's totally sick is what it is," I mean, you don't have to be hurtful here. I love the details on this case, it happened in a trailer park, mom was passed out drunk on the couch, she came to HALFWAY THROUGH (how drunk was she?). Astro, I like the picture of you with your hair grown out, it makes you look younger and less predatorial.

Baby, unless something changes I will rank IN number 1. LOVE IT

Hey Dartos, we never got together before you left Indy.....where are you guys at now? I can't remember anything.

Except HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCKY! Love you! Awwwwwwww.......

And.......I have four........that's right FOUR interviews next week. Two in Milwaukee, then my last two in Indy. Anybody have any places to see in Milwaukee? Come on a yeah......eeeeeeeaaaaaaah.

Except HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCKY! Love you! Awwwwwwww.......

Awwww TANKS! Love you too, hotstuff! 😀

So I've been obsessively checking to see who's downloaded the Dean's letter...pretty much everybody. Show me the love or hate, guys! :meanie:

I got my second email declining to offer an interview. It's weird when you get interviews from places like University of Chicago but then get rejections from U of Kentucky and U of Georgia. Weird. Sorry we missed you guys Dmak, we just got so busy trying to get packed and ready to go back to Michigan. we are in MI for the next 3 months, then we will probably be in chicago for a month and a half or so. I can't believe how close we are to done with medical school. I can almost smell that paycheck (or is it Dmaks' sweet sweet smegma?). Infectious Disease is pretty cool. It's pretty much one third gay AIDS patients, one third debriding chronic wounds and one third MRSA, with a sprinkling of other stuff.

Pediatrics Ward as a 4th year is pretty damned cool. The hours are much better than NICU, or at least they feel that way. In either case my commute is a five minute walk which is very sexy.

Of course if you've ever seen me walk, that goes without saying.

I'm doing pretty good work. I get patients but the interns check and sign everything. It's about as close to being an intern you can get without a license.

I like the kids...I like getting up in the AM and thinking, "I'm going to where I want to go to do what I want to do." That's a good feeling.

I'm also getting along better with the residents here. I'm trying to learn to not do things to show them up, but it's a hard lesson...after all this time to try and not be as smart as you are becuase you'll make your job harder. Truthfully this is the best group yet.

It's hard to believe that I'm thinking of reranking Portsmouth to the top. The hospital here is the best, and the staff kick ass.

Life is plenty strange.

Can you guys post what types of questions you are getting asked at interviews?

thanks

first Neurosurgery Interview on Friday.............:scared:

Here are a few I've gotten:

What makes you better than the rest of the applicants? / Why should we take you over everyone else?

What are your strengths/weaknesses?

Tell me one aspect of (insert field) that frustrates you.....

How did you get so darn sexy? (I know....weird question)

As you can see...pretty standard questions...look out for the odd ball questions though. Heard of some that asked if you could be a vegetable, which would you be? and other stupid questions like that.

Good luck dude!

Does smegma count as a soy or a dairy product?????

Funny side note, my brother was interviewing for a computer type job and they asked him what part of a cheeseburger he would be. He told them he would be a sesame seed because no one really knows why they are there and they don't seem to serve any useful purpose.

I would be the hot sauce cuz...duh....

What? Doesn't everybody put spicy stuff on their burger?

I would be the pickle, because I like to be dipped in ketchup and thrown on a window.

Oh my gawd, so the Borat movie was awesomely awkward and disgusting. We almost fell out of the chair in laughter, and so did the rest of the people in the theater. It's a must see. Leave the kids at home.

10-13 more........WOOOOOOOO. I'm loving all the nice pre-interview dinners. I love FP!

Looking forward to the next disbursement as well....All these away rotations and interviews are making me eat gas.... I need to buy a hybrid.

By the way Dartos......I had a Portillo's Italian Beef today......they opened one up in Merrillville on US 30 right off of I-65....good stuff.

On the burger question, I'd be the cheese because when I get near heat I melt and start sticking to things and taste good?

Well almost another week down on radiology and I can totally repeat a negative chest x-ray dictation.........I may have no idea what I am looking at but I can definetly dictate normal......

First interview Saturday we'll see how that goes. Hopefully they don't ask for my first born child, but if they do I guess I'll just have to bargain them down to the first born daughter. At least that way she will be away from astro glide.

I bought guitar hero II, so I'll be rocking out with my cock out from here on out. Oh and only 8 more days until ps3, I don't know if I can wait I am thinking about freezing myself as long as somebody comes and gets me in time to stand in line at best buy.

We're in St. Louis!! I hope I don't get mugged more than twice. Actually we're staying in a pretty nice suburb outside of Des Peres. It's a drive to SLU, but the freeway systems seem alright, and I'd much rather drive than live in East St. Louis. Gonna go see the arch next weekend...I couldn't believe how tall it was when we drove by today.

I totally think me and D should have made a TV show of our fourth year. Now, we're living in a house with a surgery resident, a medicine resident, and a 3rd year med student. It's like, Surreal Life for Docs and Doc-wannabes.

Hey guys,

Got some sad news from Vanessa today. Her dad passed away. Email her if you want.......she could probably use a few friends right now.

D

I got asked "what is something I struggled with in my career?" and I also got asked how to work-up SOB (but this is for internal medicine residency).

My first interview went great..............the trip there sucked pretty bad though. My flight got canceled but they already checked my bag. We waited 3 hours and they still didn't get my bag for me, so we drove 6 hours over night to get to our hotel at 3am and I had to get up at 5:30am. I interviewed for like 30 minutes, sat around, ate sushi, and then drove back the same day. Hopefully this weekend will go much better.

Radiology should be considered a hard rotation because it is almost impossible to not fall asleep sitting in the dark.

I got asked the difference between humility and humble. Got the perfect answer five seconds after I left the room.

I think I'm on the cushiest rotation I've ever had. Urology at SLU. First day I show up, they're like, "you're a fourth year? we treat our 4th years with respect here...you're just responsible for coming to clinic...no rounding for you". The other 4th year is smiling ear to ear, and then I find out that clinic means 9-3 three days a week, and half days the other two days. Totally chill. The residents and attendings are super fun, we look up funny websites between patients, and you get to do DREs, scrotal exams, and hernia checks to your heart's content. And you can take all the time you want for interviews. Highly recommended rotation for 4th year. St. Louis is a pretty neat city too. 👍

you can play freebird as a secret song on guitar hero 2 awesome.👍

Conshohoken.....

I'm so excited....not.

I think Astro and I are taking the PE in Feb, around the 13th if I am not mistaken. Anyone else putting it off that long?

I'm doing mine Dec. 19th and then taking holiday tiem to spend with family but I am driving to and from PA, which means 9 hours there from Michigan and then 18 hours from PA to Missouri to be with family; suck a doodle doo.

One of my favorite Chuck Norris jokes (encourage you all to go to that website because it always makes me laugh):

Chuck Norris does not have a chin underneath his beard; he has another fist.

SO I figured I had to jump in here with a little update on the gayness forcast. The past month has been overwhelmingly gay seeing as how I am on a rotation with Dartos ( he wont stop making advances in front of our attending) and now Creamster lives with me.. I wasnt to sure how they picked you class before but now I realize that it was purely via Gay-dar.

Chuck Noris's tears can cure cancer...

To bad he has never cried....

ever...

I am going to columbus here soon for interview #2. I'm at the point where I just want someone to call me and tell me that I have a spot anywhere. I start FP again Monday and my doc is in court till 10:30 so its going to be rough sleeping in🙂

I looked for ps3's today, which obviously didn't pan out. How the hell are there so many people that can afford a $600 game system, but they don't ever have to work. I saw people camped out for 3 days here in the D. I"ll just wait two weeks until they send out more or buy one online and have it shipped to me!

Holy crap, $600? Do dancing girls pop out?

Chuck Norris has never ever paid taxes.
He just signs his tax form, Chuch Norris and mails it in.

Chuck Norris invented the C-section when he roundhouse kicked his way into the world

It's nice to be done with this work week already.........doctor's office closed wed, off thursday, friday. It sucks when it gets dark at 5pm it makes me not want to do anything or use correct punctuation and spelling. I still don't have a ps3 son of a bitch.

Ok, I know I'm dumb for saying this but after my anatomy exam today (thorax/abdomen) I finally figured out what the “cremaster” is.

Very nice. 😉

I hope one day to be a regular on the “self-proclaimed geniuses” thread, but apparently, I have a long way to go. 😳

Hang loose!
and have a great thanksgiving.

Come on, JBone....step up your game a little. I laughed a little to myself the first time they went over the Cremaster (I instantly thought back to SDN).

Also, if I'm not mistaken, isn't there a Dartos on here as well. They're basically like brothers.

Yeah but Dartos has a wrinkly forehead. He's easy to spot.
(apparently not a big fan of the cold weather either...gives him that bitter beer face)
