Do attendings only make about 200K

My attending told me that he only makes about 200K. That is the same as being a PCP. Why are salaries so low. I thought we make a million easy. Is this only in academic medicine or is this a real average salary?

Who exactly is "we?" I have serious doubts that you are currently in ophthalmology residency or beyond. If you are, no offense, but you're in for a rude awakening.
