Hi, guys
Probably silly question to ask but couldn't find good thread for my question.
I am a post bac and wondering if I need to take lab classes for advanced bio classes such as human physiology, elementary microbiology, or general biochemistry, genetics etc,,? Also which classes are recommended? my advisor told me to take at least 3 out of these lectures and labs..

Or is it okay to only take lectures? I know for sure that chem I, II, bio I, II and org chem I and II need to be accompanied by labs..

I just don't want to take too many labs if those are not required or helpful. I might take one or two if lab is actually helpful. Please let me know and any adivce will be helpful..

Thank you.

None of the schools I applied to required labs for those classes, but that's not to say that there isn't some school out there that does.

try calling some schools and see what they say.

considering these advanced bio courses aren't even required in the first place, i doubt you need to take lab courses unless you think they will help your understanding of the subject or if it will help raise your GPA. For ex, a lab course won't necessarily be helpful for something like biochem but it will be tremendously helpful for a class like anatomy.
