Quick question: Does AMCAS send your actual transcript(s) to medical schools? Or only your grades as formatted in your AMCAS app?

I ask because I forgot to indicate my honors designation (magna/summa cum laude) in my AMCAS app, but it's shown in my transcript.

Thanks!

Only your final school that you choose to attend.

Correct - no schools see your transcript during the process, but will insist on getting a copy prior to your matriculation. If you take any additional classes or get any grades, post-amcas submission, it is generally a good idea to send an update copy directly to the schools at which you are still under consideration (especially critical if you are on waitlist). If you can think of any new additional ECs you are doing that you wanted to update schools about, you could certainly mention in the update letter the fact that you received honors designation (I think that's how I would do it).

Thanks for the helpful responses, BrettBatchelor and Law2Doc..
