Do not go to south university!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It seems intimidating most likely because it's all on material that you haven't learned yet. As pharmacy school goes on, and you learn the material that NAPLEX is based on, I'm sure you'll feel more comfortable about it. Don't sweat it, bro-ham.

Fair enough!

I don't think I've ever been called bro-ham before. I feel speshul. =D

BTW - I see you over thurr on the Pharmacy forum in that massive Pregnancy thread. Is it even about Pregnancy anymore? Is the OP even reading it anymore?

****, dude, nah...it's gone from pregnancy, to abortion, to dating and the notion of equality vs. chivalry, to religion, to high school grades, to basketball ****-talking, back to religion, to global warming, back to religion, and somehow the Pyhtagorean Theorem was mentioned along the way.

LOL! Sounds like good times, I am going to have to follow it. Although I don't feel as if I should post over there yet, seeing as how I am still an underling.

You should definetly post over there and be on MY SIDE (there is NO god!). I won't be a pharmacy student until august and I am already posting over there NOW, so you can too!

Mercer 2008: 130 candidates, 99% pass rate. 128/130
Mercer overall since 2004: 682, 94% pass rate. 641/682

UCSF 2008: 130, 97% pass rate. 126/130
UCSF overall since 2004: 641, 99% pass rate or 634/641

So really pretty equal in terms of first-time NAPLEX success! But, of course, UCSF wins because it's in California and only a few short square miles from Neiman Marcus =-)

Oh, source is:
http://www.nabp.net/ftpfiles/bulletins/NaplexSPR.pdf

And the "BEST" award goes to UC San Diego, with a full 100% NAPLEX first-time success. Bear in mind, though, that it's only 76/76, so if you compare it in scope (which is very important), it kinda loses some of its "wowsers" effect.

Thanks for the information! very helpful! 🙂

Yes, Neiman Marcus beats everything and I am sure thats the reason why UCSF is ranked #1 every year! 😀 too bad I miss their deadline. 🙁

It must be the same as getting lower than a 75 on the PCAT. The NAPLEX and PCAT are highly correlated with each other.

Getting a perfect score in anything is very hard, but PASSING should be easy. There is a reason why its called a STANDARDIZE test, Standard= an average person should be able to pass it.

Is the NAPLEX similar to the PCAT science/math OR PCAT reading/verbal?

I am HOPING its similar to science/math b/c I made 90+ on all those sections, but I made a 68 in Verbal and 20 in reading (didn't finish in time!🙁)!!!!

lol it's no where near the same

It's actually the most tightly correlated with the composite score. :d

But, jeez, you got into Columbia dental for goodness sake! Don't sweat it! 😉

Haha what's a bro-ham?
I thought he just said, bro..... then signed -ham... like as in "irishHAMmer. :d

SHC is right, you should start chiming in at the prego thread. It's fun! 😀

Haha, excellent summary.

Astute yet entirely incorrect observation.

This is one of the more ridiculous threads I have read in a very long time...

At least it's not about South any more. It's good to see the pre-pharm side can hijack a thread like the big boys now.

I'm curious what the rest of the country thinks about the Colorado Rockies right now... are they for real?

You obviously haven't seen the "when is the best time to get pregnant thread" in the Pharmacy forum if you think this thread is ridiculous!

I made a 81 composite b/c my reading was a 20 which brought it down a bit! Its passing so its good enough.

I've seen it...guess this thread struck a chord with me since South is my alma mater...but yeah, pregnancy thread takes the cake

I don't think South sucks. The only negative is the price tag. I can see why people are piss about having to pay back a sh*tload of student loans every month. Thats proberly the main reason right there.

You are welcome for Marquis.

Cubs fan? They are actually my first love, but when the local team does well it's hard not to get in on the fun. To be fair, the Rockies STILL got the better of that deal... how's that Vizcaino working out?

At least it's not about South any more.

Why would we talk about them? They're a terrible school. You heard the lousy pharmacist, they have such shady practices as accepting good students and holding them accountable for their own success. What blasphemy.

It's good to see the pre-pharm side can hijack a thread like the big boys now.

Y'arr, matey, I be a quick learner.

I'm curious what the rest of the country thinks about the Colorado Rockies right now... are they for real?
Haven't paid much attention to the Rockies lately. I've been disillusioned with MLB ever since my Blue Jays went tankalaz. ****ing Jays. **** them all. Bunch of choke jobs.

I'd hate mandatory attendance + having to dress up. Then again, if this were my only choice, I'd be a fool to give up a year's salary for the sake of principle.

I like managing my own time and not having anyone else do it, so I skip classes when the midterm 2 days from now is for another class, and I can catch up with recordings later. Better use of my time that way.

And dressing up? I hate ironing...I'd show up every day in wrinkled clothing, take that.

Solutions to problem:
1. No iron shirts/pants (brilliant invention)
2. Put everything in the dryer on permanent press. After it is done (immediately or as soon as it is done) take the clothes out, give them a quick shake and hang them up. Voila! No wrinkles.

That's why I got out of that topic 3 weeks ago, when things were still pretty sane.

Thanks for the site, never knew it existed before now..

Finally, there is someone out there that knows what the word sinchy means. I used to say that word like there was no tomarrow when I was a small kid, and I used to think that I made it up.

I'm curious what the rest of the country thinks about the Colorado Rockies right now... are they for real?

They aren't for real, because only the Detroit Tigers are for real!
