Are all DO schools based in small communities? Are there in any larger cities?

KCUMB in Kansas City, DMU in Des Moin, PCOM in Philly, NSU in Ft. Lauderdale, CCOM in Chicago...just to name a few. Out of the 20 or so schools, i'd say only 2-3 are in a city you would consider small.

Is NYCOM in the city or is it in a more rural community?

What was the name of the DO school in Los Angles?

I think it's on Long Island but i'm not sure

Western University College of Osteopathic

Is NYCOM in the city???

No, NYCOM is not in Manhattan, it is in Old Westbury, NY (Long Island). It is loated about 25 miles outside of Manhattan. The location is more suburban; however with that said, there are 8,008,278 people within the 5 boroughs of NYC according to the 2003 census. There are an additional 1,340,000 people in Nassau county, as well as 1,441,000 people in suffolk county.

I sure as hell wouldn't call the community rural. Also many of the rotations 3rd and 4th year are in Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Manhattan. So if it's the city you want, you'll have every opportunity.

TCOM is in Ft. Worth, TX (part of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex)

OSU-COM is in Tulsa, OK (the second largest city in the state)

AZCOM is in Glendale, a suburb of Phoenix, AZ

I went found their website, but i couldn't find a residency match list for the school. Does anyone have a link to it?

New schools in Las Vegas and Atlanta.

Seems like most are in mid to major cities.
