Hey all,
This is my first time on this forum so if this question seems stupid or has been answered before, I have an valid excuse...
I'm a Chemical Biology major so there are courses that I took that are beyond the scope of what is necessary for Optometry and did rather poorly (Thermodynamics, Biophysical Chemistry, etc). Does science gpa factor in non pre-req courses?
Much appreciated!

When I was filling out OPTOMCAS I included courses that I will be taking in the upcoming semester, but obviously could not include a grade. Does including classes without a GPA like this bring down your OPTOMCAS calculated GPA?

Should I include courses that I have yet to complete?

Thanks!

No, including classes you have not yet taken does not affect your calculated GPA.

You should probably include courses you are going to take so the schools can see your academic plan.

There will be an opportunity for a transcript update later in the cycle (after Christmas?). I don't really remember. If you send in your new transcript with fall grades during this time, your GPAs will be recalculated.

But I heard Optomcas has a new system. Should work the same but who knows.

I called Optomcas about including planned upcoming courses and they said to include them, but just select IP or In Progress in the drop down menu. Like thisguy88 said, they also mentioned it's best you send one more copy of your transcript after completion of all your classes.
