DO, When to Apply MD IM?

I am a DO student who is applying DO and MD Internal Medicine residencies, Philly area
I did well above average for comlex 1 (600) and did average for comlex 2 (500). I did average for usmle step 1. I blew my comlex II comparatively and I have decided to take the usmle step II. I have it scheduled for mid sept. I have already applied to DO residencies and plan to apply MD as well. Should I apply MD when it opens on sept 15?or Should I wait till i get my step II score back? Will that be too late? Will my usmle step II score even matter at this point? Do MD programs even use usmle step II as a screen or purely step I? Do MD programs look at applications more than once?
