So you are saying that it's perfectly okay for us to believe in fairies, the Greek gods, the Roman gods, Allah, Yahweh, the great Joo-Joo at the bottom of the sea, unicorns, flying teapots, Harry Potter, and talking animals?

So, I guess the question you open yourself up to with the way you put this is this: Why do you believe what you do? Why not believe in everything supernatural? Why discriminate?

Q1, I don't need an answer to any of that. Doesn't interest me.

Q2, Because I want an answer as to where anything came from and as of now the scientific community cannot provide me with information.

Well, I think it's important to understand one's own argument by understanding all points of view. I don't see why my question, even if it is in the same vain as famous atheists or agnostics' questions, is illegitimate.
 
I dont get how anyone can study science like we do and believe in god. Everything is contradictory, like the walking on water, parting the sea, dying and then living later, changing water to alcoholic beverages. Common Sense + Science= no god.

Yep. I believe in evolution. How can you major in Bio and not? I also believe in God. Because I'm weak and I use God as a crutch and I need something to hold onto. No, I'm serious. No...I'm really serious, lol. That's why I believe in God, and I'm not afraid to admit it. :laugh:

Appreciate the honesty, but how does it help you when you admit that you only believe in a god because you are weak? If you are satisfied by such flimsy beliefs, why don't you just cut to the chase and believe you're strong?

Well, you don't get to have these in-depth conversations every day. I'm not in this to change anyone's mind or to get my mind changed. I just like talking about this sort of thing. It's not about being right or wrong, but exercising logical faculties.
