I just looked at my unofficial transcript and for some odd reason it listed the wrong degree. It says I was awarded a Bachelors of Arts but I graduated with a Bachelors of Science and the actual degree that was handed to me at graduation was a Bachelors of Science. I am obviously going to get this fixed ASAP but knowing the administration at my university they will take a while to fix this correction. If I list on my aamcas that I received a Bachelors of Science will that cause a delay in my processing when they look at my official transcript and see I was supposedly awarded a Bachelors of Arts? Do they even verify degrees especially since a large portion of the applicants are still seniors and haven't received a degree? Thanks for any help!

they might verify it but it wont matter at all

They may or may not even notice. As long as you actually graduated from college, I'm sure you'll be fine.

I would say get it fix first because if they do notice it will be like 5 weeks from when they receive it and they will tell you and then you will re-request ur corrected transcript from your school it will take few days for it to get to them and they they will probably take 5-6 weeks to verify since it will be the busy time. so my suggestion is get it fix and then send it, rest is up to you.
