I want a list of all of the primary specialties and which require oral boards and which don't. Go ahead and try it. See if you can get that will a google search, on all the specialties. You say you can do it in 4 seconds. I'll give you one hour and 4 seconds. You can't do it.

Oral boards make no sense except as another way to make money. Nothing you can ask that you can’t write to ask.

eh, I've heard it said there's a "thinking on your feet" quality to them that writing doesn't address

I say this as someone that does very well on written tests, and sucks at oral (well, you know what I mean).

So for me at least, it's a difference that does actually make a difference. Not that I've ever taken an oral board. Just that I would fear to.
