Does USyd do phone interviews?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Most Australian schools conduct interviews in Canada, so you don't have to go all the way there for the interview. UQ was interviewing applicants over the phone, they suspended interviews for local students this year, I am not sure about internationals though.

One thing is to visit Australia and spend some time in the country to get an idea of where you will spend four years of your life. Australia is widely known as one of the best places to live on the planet but it is still a good idea to see the place especially the campuses of the schools you plan to attend.

The USydMP interview is a series of eight one-on-one in person sessions. It is short in duration, but very structured to ensure a 'level playing field' for the candidates. This year the interviews were held in Vancouver BC, Singapore and at Sydney itself. There are no phone interviews.
