Doing MPH is helpful to get into residency?

I am an International medical graduate and complted all usmle steps. Last year I was not matched . My credentials are 85 84 cs. I have beed admitted for MPH for fall. Will it be useful doing this MPH for my residency dream.

Otherthing If I match next year can I quit the MPH and change my visa status from F1 to H1
