Throughout the months, I've been overly obsessed about the steps in becoming a doctor. You know, the typical do this, do that routine. But after thinking to myself about the things I've done to this day. I realized that if I follow too much of what it's needed to become a doctor, I will become nothing but a square by following a slave trend that every inspired student must go through.

I'm not saying that, I shouldn't follow any of the steps in becoming a doctor, such as volunteering, shadowing, going over-seas, and all that good samaritan stuff. Instead, it's best to be creative of what you do and how you do it, this in the essence will make a well-rounded person, such as never lying to yourself. Do the things that you are interested in, but don't do things just because it's desirable for medical school.

I'm just saying things that's on my mind, I need to vent a bit.

Because I'm seeing many people in this board who obsess and stress (including myself) in becoming a desirable applicant in applying to medical schools. I would say, take it easy and enjoy life. Just do well and "free your mind" as Morpheus would say.

You need to be directed to the nearest grammar book, asap.

That's real talk. 👍

If, you are going to, keep writing like this. I will, probably, go, insane,.

You may not end up being a square but you could quite possibly end up being a reject.

You're gonna have a lot of trouble in medicine with that attitude.

The trouble with "just do what you like" is that most otherwise-productive people would "like" very much to stay home drinking adult beverages and watching TV.

It's usually best to only do what you like once or twice each week.

@rogerwilco

Is my writing really that bad?

I think the title and the moral of my post is misleading. What I'm trying to point out is if you know the direction in becoming a doctor, follow it, but be creative in getting there. It's best to be different in a way that will make you stand out from other applicants. From extracurricular activities to majors.
