UWash is special. Yes, they have very low OOS acceptance rate. Also, they automatically reject people in certain states (you should look into it). However, MSTP candidates from any states are welcome to apply.

Hm. Good point. UWSOM would have been a close second (or maybe even above Duke) had I had a snowball's chance in hell of getting in there.

Me? I'm white. I went to school in California. I'm upper middle class. Sooooo even though I grew up in Washington, (11 years!) no chance for me.

Yeah, there's no way in hell I'd have been accepted if I weren't in-state. However, for the record, I'm also white and upper middle class. I think the residency factor is what's most important, especially since UW is an "in-state" school for 5 friggin states.

Well my Dream School is UCI, because I am an undergrad here. Not only that, all my family and friends are here, especially my loving GF. SO, I really don't want to leave Irvine.

If not that... then I jsut want to be an MD... so any of the 44 schools I applied too will suffice. It doesn't matter, it just takes one right?

OHSU. I'm in love with Portland, their integrated curriculum cuts out a lot of the crap, they start you on developing clinical skills from the very get go, 90% match success rate, and considering I want to go into pediatric cardiology, their children's hospital has the best program on the west coast behind stanford.

Ditto - great school, I'm tied into the research and clinical community, my family and friends are here, I teach at two local colleges, coach at one of the high schools, etc., etc.

UVA...I mean c'mon 😉
UNC-(despite being a rival), if I could get in state res I'd be EXTATIC! And it's a gr8 school.
UMD-(I guess I like the ACC...EXCEPT for those dookies...don't like them...for sports of course), has a fam atmosphere, only in lecture from 8-12, and I might be able to do some real estate investing on the side
HU- a lot of fam has gone there for other degrees so it'd be cool to keep up the tradition (and stay in DC).
Downstate-fam's from NY so I'd have a good support system, want to work/learn in an urban area, and I could pop up to sag harbor on the weekends for a break!
Morehouse- because I think the small class size might be a good thing, although I'm not a huge fan of the ATL

other than that...every other school I apply to lol!

UTSW - because I'm going there, and because it's Texas, and Texas has all the hot girls and boys, and it's just plain HOT! Hotness all over! I guess I can even study and tan at the same time!
