hi guys! Orientation is almost here and I am both nervous and excited at the same time. I know this quesiton has been addressed, but I wanted to bring it up again because I am still unsure about the answer. What is the deal with the dress code at NYCOM. I know while in anatomy lab everyone wears scrubs, in all the colors of the rainbow. But what about to leactures? And also, what about to orientation? What will the girls be wearing to orientation and to classes? For MSII's, what did you guys wear?

Dude! The people on the webboard were joking about the scrubs in OMM lab. Males wear gym shorts and females wear one-piece bathing suits and gym shorts, or a sports bra and gym shorts.

Lectures: wear what's comfy, and if you feel "flowery," by all means wear the rainbowed/flowered scrubs!

I don't know what the girls will wear to orientation. You know some people will come pimped out and all snazzed up, and then you will see people like me wearing sandals, shorts and a t-shirt.....and if I could *JUST* find one of those "I (heartsign) NY" shirts... 😀

If clothes are *that* crazily-important to you, take a visit to the campus on Monday and scope out who is wearing what... problem solved! 😉

Those I "heart" NY shirts can be happily purchased in NYC for about $2. They were all the rage in my OMT Lab in LA......

well there is a formal dress code for the school and I wanted to know if people actually adhere to the dress code. If the dress code is enforced, I would assume that if you were disssecting a human body and wearing scrubs that would be totally ok, while if you were sitting in lecture, it may be more important to stick to the dress code. People in high places love to abuse their power, so I don't want to have my first falling out with the administration over what I am wearing.
