anyone here been to a drew/ucla interview this year? If so, what did you think?
I just came back from one. It's been getting a lot of negative press lately, but after talking to the interviewer, he assured me that the degree is given through UCLA, so there's no chance of not receiving one. Also, if any department is closed at Drew, we would simply do our rotation at UCLA or another hospital.
I liked it, it seemed nice. The interviewers are incredibly nice and down to earth, so are the other interviewees. I realize that Drew is a little bit like the ward of UCLA, so its not as beautiful, rich, etc. But its a nice facility, especially if you want to get A LOT of experience during your rotation years because medical assistance is in such high demand there.
And whatever they say about a weak curriculum, 2003/2004, most matched at UCLA or UCLA/Harbor Hospitals. Preeeeetttyyy goood to me.
