Drexel Acceptances?

ok, a decision has FINALLY been made on my application. it has been over 8 weeks since i interviewed (11/12/07). i guess i have a few more long days to wait for the mail. i don't know if i have the strength.😱

hi, i'm out of state.
 
so my status has said that a decision has been made and will be mailed for over a week. I called today and they said it still hasn't been mailed out but will be mailed within the next few weeks. Has anyone elses status said a decision has been made but hasn't gotten the letter for a really long timeeeeee? I dont like waiting so longgggggg
 
It took 3 weeks for me relax I think it is good I got in
 
I got the message "Decision made... and letter will be mailed" on December 14. One month later as of today, I still haven't received any mail.

Yes, I called them the first week of January. They said they'll resend the letter, but I still don't have it yet.
 
I interviewed on 11/16. My status changed to "your file is under review..." on 1/3 and "a decision has been made..." on 1/4. I received my acceptance letter dated Tues. 1/8 the following Monday (14th) even though I live in PA. Oh well, the wait was well worth it!
 
its almost been 3 weeks and still no letter!!
 
it's been 13 days since my status changed to "a letter has been sent". come on already!
 
called drexel today since it's been 2 weeks without a letter for me. apparently the letters were only mailed yesterday. awesome.

I interviewed before you and my status still says "your interview has been scheduled... etc." What is taking so long? When I called they just said I'm still under review.

mine was like that this week, so I'm hoping my letter got sent out with these letters as well? i'm local, so hopefully I get something tomorrow or monday, hopefully tomorrow.
 
can anyone provide info about the drexel interview? is it a panel interview, open file, etc? Thanks!

There are two interviews, one with a faculty member and one with a student. The faculty interview is one-on-one and it's open file. The student interview is done over lunch and they know nothing about you.
 
Drexel is very slow!!! it took 6 weeks to complete my file.. another 6 weeks to invite, decision in the mail took 12 weeks good luck all
 
8 weeks tomorrow since my interview and I am still under review...
 
I interviewed on 11/17 and I just saw a change on my status page. I got this on my application status page, does anyone know what this means?

"Thank you for your application. For us to evaluate your file, we still need some information. We will contact you by mail or e-mail to let you know what information we still need from you to complete your application."

My application is already complete, what else could they want?
 
I interviewed 11/27, and my status JUST changed to
A decision has been reached and a letter will be mailed to a preferred address.

i'm probably gonna be rejected! you guys are all getting a colorful array of letters .. why can't they just tell you how you did!
 
If anyone cancels their Drexel interview for sometime in February, please please let me know!! My interview is scheduled for late March, and I would really like to move it up!!
 
just out of curiosity, what is the deposit for drexel if you decide to attend?

interviewed 11/12/07. accepted 1/28/08. that's a looooooooooong wait. but a good outcome!

I just canceled my 2/5 interview this morning. 2/5 might be too short notice for you, but maybe it will help... good luck!
 
this has got to be the slowest rolling school around.

sigh, nine weeks post interview, no status change.
 
it was 6 weeks for me and then another 3 1/2 weeks decision has been made...I did get in tho I doubt I will attend. tho it is a good school good luck

when did your status change? mine's said Mailed for about a week now and i live close, WHERE THE **** IS MY DECISION!
 
it took about 2.5 weeks between my status change and when i got the letter. apparently they change the status online before they even print out the letters. then the dean signs every single one individually and they go out as a group.
 
My status changed about 3 weeks ago to "Final decision made." I have yet to receive my letter.

I called Admissions last week, and they told me that they are a bit behind. In other words, my letter hadn't even been mailed yet.

Still waiting, so frustrating!
 
same thing happened to me... I believe this will be good news ... mine was...good luck

thanks for the info, i got my interview moved up to feb 8th! i saw ur opening as well the day you canceled it but I decided to choose the later date so I have more time! 🙂
 
This is my ninth week under review after my interview. I wonder if nine is my lucky number???

I interviewed on the same day as you and I haven't heard anything back yet either.
 
Today's the 2 week anniversary of:

Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel University.

My interview was 11/12. Whats taking so long? Is this standard procedure for getting accepted or am I in pre- pre- post- interview pre- rejection?

Im goin crazy fur sure.

Oh really? Were you in my tour group as well? I was in the one with the not so enthusiastic tour guide.

Was it a guy that went on and on about nothing? And had us stand for long times in non-descript hallways
 
I just called and they said that the admissions commitee is back logged so it may be a while for some of us to hear back. My status changed to a decision has been made today and she said I'll probably hear something within 2 weeks.

I hope that helps for all those who are waiting.

He did do that. He also pointed out Drexel's gym and said that it sucked compared to Loyola's. Oh, and he said he was terrible with patients. I'm sure he'll make a great doctor!

Looks like I am still under review. Congrats on finally receiving a decision!

When was your interview?

Does anyone know what the turnaround time is between interviews and decisions? Does it differ between acceptances and rejections?
 
my turnaround was exactly 8 weeks (interview 11/27 .. decision made 1/27)
 
check your online status to see whether a decision has been made .. they say 6-8 weeks .. you should call if your status says, still under review
 
It's been 12 weeks for me too. I called them last thursday and according to the person that I spoke to, they are behind and also it will take more than 8 weeks for some people (probably meaning they looked your file but it will be reviewed again in a later adcom meeting)
 
Just spoke to the admissions office. I am in my tenth week. They told me it will likely be another one or two weeks until they make a decision.
