Hi! I drove from Bosotn the night before and stayed at a Bed and Breakfast that was like 3 blocks from campus. Joe and Tish Gembala is teh first B+B listed in the drexel pamphlet. I got in around 11 PM and they rent out their third floor bedrooms to interviewing students. You have to share a bathroom but I was the only one staying that night so I had the whole place to myself which was comfortable and clean, TV in the bedroom for 45 dollars and you get a light breakfast in the morning. I would rec it. Good Luck, low stress day btw.

I did EXACTLY what bridgie did except that I drove in from New York and stayed at the seconf B&B in the pamphlet. Nice people, and I had the bathroom to myself.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Presidential Blvd. It's the one in the pamphlet that has a free shuttle to the medical school campus in the morning.

As far as my situation, I flew into Philadelphia on Saturday and stayed with a friend of mine downtown who goes to Jefferson. My interview was on Monday, so I kinda bummed around Philly for a couple of days which was fun. I even saw Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, etc., as it was 3 blocks from where my friend lived.

I took a shuttle ($10--Lady Liberty) from the airport to downtown Philly. I took a cab ($19 including tip) from downtown to the Holiday Inn. Hotel shuttle (free) from Holiday Inn to medical school. Then took a limo service ($18-20$ with tip--USA Limo) from medical school to airport. Both Laby Liberty and USA Limo were great, the cab was just a cab.

Hope this helps and I recommend seeing some of Philly while you're there, if you're not from the East coast like country bumpkin' Ohioan me.

if you want to mitigate costs...

you can stay with a medical student host....ask Drexel office of admissions people about that. The guy I stayed with was really nice, and made me feel right at home.

hope that helps.

Good luck with Drexel guys, it's an awesome place! If you have questions, either ask here or PM me...🙂
