On interview day, after the MMI portion, there is a one hour block for "Student interviews". Does anyone know the format of this? Is it a smaller group of applicants in a breakout room with a current medical student? Is it still interview style? Unsure what to expect

IS LM 71.5 submitted 9/13 received a pre-II hold 9/17. I saw someone reply earlier that its basically a soft R but it seemed incredibly fast for mine?

If I submitted 8/15, am I past the typical II date?
Until you get a pre-II hold, I wouldn't worry. Sure there are other people who submitted later who got interviews, but this doesn't necessarily mean they read your application and decided not to interview you. That conclusion would just be unnecessary negative speculation imo.

They do holds here?? Do they email them or is it in the portal

Can anyone give any insight into what the "Student Interview" portion of the interview day consists of, after the MMI?
We signed a nondisclosure agreement unfortunately, so I cant provide too much detail. Can really just say that a med student asks you questions, you answer them, and they answer any questions you may have about the school. Didn't feel like a grilling at all.

Don't overthink it -- just prepare as you would for any interview

The traditional interviews are so much nicer compared to the MMIs, not just at this school but everywhere else as well lol.

I was complete on 07/25, but I haven't heard back in terms of the pre-II holds or anything. I checked the portal in case I missed anything, but nothing was there after the complete email. Anyone have an idea of where that puts my app (did it slip through, likely R, etc.)

Too early to say probably, last year their cycle went longer so you still have time to get II. I doubt they go fully in order, they likely have some internal screen or lineup that determines the order they review somewhat. From stats, I’d bet they look at IS a little earlier since I was complete 9/21 but got II 10/3. Just my own thoughts tho. If you feel competitive, you should stay optimistic! Long way to go!

can anyone give some insight on the MMI portion of the interview? how is it structured? pls! or message me ty!!!!
Pretty sure they signed a non-disclosure agreement. They can't reveal anything besides the stuff you already know. Otherwise, it would be an unfair advantage that you have over other applicants.

Highly recommend you don't ask these sorts of questions on here.

They did have us sign an NDA. these interview detail questions are getting annoying 😭

So just to reiterate for my own sanity…

I was complete late August (OOS, LM 72.9). If I haven’t heard back ANYTHING yet, that’s not a bad thing right?
