I had a question that was given to me and I am kind of having trouble on it, if anyone has any input on this, please feel free to. Thanks in advance
Thanks - 🙂
E-cyclooctene is chiral. It interconverts to its enantiomer with a half life of 1 hour at 184* C. Briefly explain how, given that it has no chiral centers. E-cyclononene is also chiral. A drawing may be helpful. Second, explain how the molecule changes into its enantiomer without breaking any covalent bonds.
Thanks - 🙂
