So I would guess by now, the 'applying early' advantage is over? It seems people with few interviews at this point no longer have the advantage and is now just mixed in with the rest of the ever-growing pool?

I don't think so. My apps went out on Sep 10th and have not heard a peep yet, so you might still have an advantage over people who applied late like me. However, it doesn't look like you need any advantage 🙂

I still believe applying early helps.

i'll never understand advantages to applying early. i applied to 15 schools mailed 8/13 (definitely not early). got an interview invite for nyu first week of sept which wasn't expected so quickly. besides rejections from case, nova, and uw i haven't heard a thing.

i guess all schools just work at different paces.

I think rejection letters will be mailed by most schools from early Dec. I hate the wait as well. I really appreciate the schools that give you the answer quick, be it an interview or a rejection.
