As much as I can understand why econ is a pre-req for some schools, and how econ is relatively easy...I didn't particularly like being in a class full of freshman business majors (I took it my junior year).
I can understand retaking Chem 1 (which I'm doing now---made a "C" in it a few years back). I didn't think macroecon as being high on the priority list of classes to retake. And yes, being in a classroom of freshman would not be fun (especially since I'm about 9-10 years older than them).
I don't think retaking it would do any good for you. I may be biased, but since I have my bachelors in economics, I must say that Microeconomic courses throughout my major proved to be easier than Macroeconomic courses. I don't think most Pharm Schools care which one is taken, so my advice to someone who has not taken either is to take Micro.
Well to tell you the truth econ is probably the only class where you can acutally apply it to the real world compare to all the other wastefull class we have to take for prepharm. After the semester is over we pretty much forget what we learn in the science cources.
That's not completely true! I remember everything from general biology because whether we like it or not, every biology class reteaches that stuff. It became a bother when my genetics class had mitosis/meiosis on it, my cell bio had respiration, etc etc
