Anyone know if the EK 4th edition books are going to be any different than 3rd? I was told that the 4th ed is coming in a few weeks and I didn't know if I should wait to get them.

On another note, how do you guys find the EK physics. I know Kaplan goes way more in depth. Think EK is enough?

Hi BMW,
First of all, welcome to SDN 🙂

The 4th Ek edition is not that much different than the 3rd edition. There are more colored pictures and better diagrams and less organic material in the orgo book, and more on genetics. So, if u have the 3rd edition, you will still be fine, studying from this edition. Oh and Ek is brief and doesn't go too much in detail, so if you are going to buy a Kaplan comprehensive book, or can borrow someone's TPR books, then definitely get them. It is better to have more material than to have less material. Oh and make sure to also get AAMC materials ( I don't know for sure, if the new material is up or not. Can someone tell me?) Ek physics is ok, you can see some of the threads in this forum. Ramoray's thread and MaggieD's thread best explains about Ek physics.

Good Luck studying for MCAT! 🙂
