has anyone noticed that the topics in EK verbal 101 are really easy to remember? i'm going through these passages again (the ones i did over a year ago) but i've been scoring really high because the topics are that familiar.

i think it might have to do with interesting nature of the EK passages.

Is it just me or are the EK passages and questions alot harder than kaplan/princeton's stuff?

I'm going through the passages again (it's been a year). I do vaguely remember the topics. I am doing slightly better than last year. However when I look at the ones I got wrong this time, they are mostly different then the ones from last year (kept all my score sheets). I think that indicates I'm not remembering the answers much.

i don't remember the answers at all but i do remember the passage topics, making it a lot easier. this past week, i took aamc 3 CBT and i got a 7 on VR whereas i got a 12 on EK VR 4 (i never scored above a 10 in any practice test ever).

eh I was about to ask if people experienced the opposite - I never make higher than a 9-10 on EK primarily because the answer choices are such shots in the dark. I usually 9-12 questions per group of 40 BUT I usually sincerely disagree with 3-4 of the answers.

I thought that CBT3 VR was really weird. I've never scored under a 7 since my diagnostic (kaplan) but I went from a 9 to a 6 on CBT3 in less than a week. Keep in mind I do about 40 VR questions a day at least.

i bombed the last three sections in VR in AAMC CBT3. i couldn't even get more than 50% on those. on the last one i only got 1 question right but for the wrong reason.

I did AAMC 3-CBT for my diagnostic test... that last passage on Confucius and "li" was brutal for me. Very confusing!
