electrical engineer with 2.8 gpa

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I majored in EE as well in undergrad, and despite working very hard could barely get a 3.0. When I decided to do dental school I took a year off work and took all upper level science classes for dental school pre-reqs and had a 3.9 GPA for the post-bac portion. My DAT was 23 I think. Dental schools did not care much about my low undergrad GPA.. It actually helped me because it showed an upward trend.

Maybe everyone was different but for me engineering was much harder than the life science classes. It was even much harder than dental school. But to the OP - you need better post-bac GPA and DAT scores to make them forget your undergrad grades.

Look into some post Bach programs, Loma Linda has a biodent program where you take life half of the D1 load and if you do well in it they let you in to the next years D1 class.

I personally know someone who got in that way And I know for a fact his grades were lower than yours.

I'm pretty sure there are a few other schools with that type of thing as well.

if people dont call you doctor your degree is inferior by default. bam
