I have politely nudged and reminded my recommendation ppl. and two of the three have done...... something.... I think.
I am trying to decipher what the status of my eLOR's mean :/
New = not done yet
In progress= what? Did they start it or are they done and it's finished when I submit? Is there a 'complete' status?

I feel like a spaz - checking it three times a day & totally panicked about it all coming together in time.....😱

Yes, there is a "complete" status. "In progress" means that they have at least started the evaluation but it is not finished.

actually it's more like:

"in progress" = not done yet
"new" = haven't even logged on yet (i think)

if you have an eLOR that's still "new" I would make sure that your evaluator actually got the login info. it could be in their spam folder

I'm freaked out because two of mine say "New." I know one of them got it, he told me. The other, I assumed they'd gotten it, she asked me last week some things like how to spell my name and how long I'd been volunteering with them, so I took that to mean she'd gotten it. Now I'm worried.

I'm checking every few hours too. It's nerve-wracking.

Urgh one of mine still says new. I've bugged him about it like 10 times.

Pester 'em. I did and it worked for me. Make them feel guilty about how worried you are - LOL. I think that's what I (unintentionally) did. 😀

I think i went over the edge to the extent that I'm a bit embarrassed, but hey, it needed to get done. My vet already had the letter written, and all she had to do was login and copy/paste. I emailed once after a couple of weeks, then after having absolutely no response, I emailed her 3 times in one week as we were closing in on less than 10 days from the deadline. still no response, so I left her a voicemail. still no response. so then i went over to the dark side, and nudged another vet, the supervisor of the vet department, and a vet tech to have her call me. apparently that worked... but i would never like to do that ever again...

Thanks!!! Very informative.... now if only my people would submit the letters :xf:

I should have pestered sooner. I reminded 2 of them today and one thought the deadline was later, the other had it on his list of things to do, knew when it was due, but it slipped his mind.

And to think for the past week(s) I kept telling myself "Stop being neurotic, they will get it done. Just trust them. You should trust them".

Nope, shouldn't have trusted so them so much, I should've let myself be neurotic. Now 2 of my eLORs are going to be written last-minute. Hopefully they are still good. I'm kicking myself.

I'm in the same boat. My last eLOR has been "in progress" for the past two weeks. My doc ensured me that it would be in by Friday. I wish I told her the deadline was sooner. At least then I could get some sleep!

Did you all get a confirmation email from VMCAS after the last eLOR was submitted? I got emails when the first two were submitted, but nothing for the last one. When I log in, it says that everything has been mailed off or whatever, but i'm just being a little neurotic.
