Embryology Animation
Started by kati
The computer lab at my school has a really old Mac program called "MacBaby." It's nothing fancy, but it's really helpful for the basics -- it does a nice 3D thing that helps to visualize what's going on. I assume it's widely available -- I'd be happy to try to find out details if you don't already know about it.
Try these:
http://www.med.unc.edu/embryo_images http://www.lib.uchicago.edu/hw/anatomy/ http://anatomy.med.unsw.edu.au/CBL/embryo/Embryo.htm http://www.med.upenn.edu/meded/public/berp/index.html http://www.med.uc.edu/embryology/contents.htm
The UNC one is fabulous. I actually haven't tried the other 4 - a friend said the UNC one was the best - but I thought I'd pass the info along anyhow.
Cheers!

Hey mango,
I hate embryo, but the animations make it a million times easier. Here is a good site from Indiana for heart folding and your arches we just went over w/ Dr. Lowery, but I can email you my notes later this weekend after Biochem Test is over.

Yes it it. Our profs actually incorporate it into their powerpoint presentations to accompany their lectures.
interesting that they're embedding it into powerpoint. do they let you play around with it on your own too?
I found this site pretty useful

Very good resource for the initial steps of embryogenesis can be found off a link at the white house's web site of all places:

Here is a link to our "Anatomy Filling Station" here at U.Kentucky. It contains every lecture we had this year as well as some pretty cool embryo animations. Hope someone finds it useful.

Hello!
I'm having a explosion of knowledge on embryo and I heard about this program "Simbryo".
The problem is, 1st my school library just have the 8th edition of Langman, so they don't have this program and second, I can't use the free site, even though I've already update my version of adobe flash player to the latest one. Can any one tell me how the site works --' ?
Thanks
