I'm looking for a max number of questions that'll likely be on the usmle. What's the most anyone has heard of?

I had 6...which may be a bit more than most. I spent some time memorizing that ish because I knew I may miss some of the harder physio questions. I was right...it paid off!

I really really hate branchial arches. I like all the other embryo stuff (the way FA 2013 lays it out is super nice because you can see how it contributes to pathology (ie. congenital heart defects) but oh my god, that branchial arch table...it's just been so long since anatomy.

don't bother memmorizing that table... though it's not too hard to commit to memory, only its key keys will be tested. same with every other chart in FA, only key ideas get tested. the real exam is not like kaplan's qbank.

I'm not sure whether I hate embryology or anatomy more. these are on my **** list of subjects.

You could leave it for your last days of studying, and just cram some of the high yield stuff, like the branchial apparatus, some GI tract embryology/malformations and heart defects. Most of those questions are straightforward, if you find them difficult, you either don't know, or you are over thinking it so much that it seems difficult and tricky.
