Hey everyone! Is anyone applying to Emory or applied in the past? I'm having trouble with the question that just says, "Autobiography." I understand they don't want to hear things like my favorite food, pet, and color, but there's no instructions or further directions about how to approach the question. Any suggestions??? Thanks!

Hey everyone! Is anyone applying to Emory or applied in the past? I'm having trouble with the question that just says, "Autobiography." I just finish that essay a month ago, and basically i just focus my paper on a central theme and how it reflected my life.. I didnt want to bore the admission with a step by step account of my life. so pick a central theme about your life that you can talk about. If u need me to PM my essay to you i can.

Icecold, I've been having a problem writing the essay as well. Do you think you could PM me a copy as well? I'm looking for an idea of how to structure it. Promise I won't plagarize (how can you with an autobio? lol) 🙂

Are you talking about Emory's autobiography? Because mine's more than that but when I typed it into the PTCAS textbox, it didn't say anything indicating that i'm over the limit ... which did happen to me on one of emory's other supplement essays

Yeah, the thing that sucks is that it wont let you know the character limit untill you click on save... so what i did was put a super long essay in all of my secondary essay responses and click save to see the limit for each question. you can always go back and change things after you hit save. hope that helps

1400 characters with or without spaces?
maybe i'lll call emory tomrrow and ask. bc when I inputted my essay for one of hte other emory supplemental essays, it told me I was over the limit when I tried to save, but didn't say anything for my autobiography.... weird
